Flat Mikky

One sunny day Mikky was walking to school. She passed Beach Drive and then Hartford Court and finally she reached her school. Her school was called “George Washington Elementary”.Mikky went to her classroom at 8:30 a.m. In her normal 5th grade classroom there were 35 students. She sat in the 4th row with two other kids. Her teacher Mrs. Sticklemickle was talking about grammar, which she talked about often. When the clock turned 9:30 the whole 5th grade went to their math class. Mikky went to her math class, which was the highest math class in the whole school. Her math teacher’s name is Ms. Symmetry. Ms. Symmetry had long brown hair. She always wore business like clothes that made her look even more strict than she already was. I she caught you talking or even think you were talking she would take her long stick andwack your desk with it. “She scares me!” Mikky told her friend, Melinda. “There will be no talking in my class Mikky!” Ms. Symmetry yelled after she wacked Mikky’s desk with her stick. Mikky was amzed because she had never been yelled at like that in her whole life. “You will have detention for the whole week!” Ms. Symmetry continued. The whole class giggled at her.Mikky was so embarrassed she almost cried. After Mikky got yelled at she tried to pay attention but she just couldn’t. Ms. Symmetry had on a mole on the left side of her chin. Her mole grew hair and it was fat and lumpy. Her mole caught many of the kid’s attention.
After school was over, Mikky walked home a big frown on her face. Once she got home she went straight to her room. “I hate Ms. Symmetry..” Mikky mumbled. She took of her backpack and took out her homework. She was so mad she threw her backpack against the wall. She went to her study table and did her homework quickly. She did her math homework very sloppy.
“Honey time for diiner,” Mikky’s mom yelled. Mikky went downstairs with her frown but this time bigger. While Mikky was eating, Mikky’s dad asked, “Why do you have such a big frown on your face?” “Because Ms. Symmetry told me that I had detention fo he whole week.” she answered as if she was about to yell. Her brother giggled. Mikky stared at her brother firiously. Mikky ate her dinner really fast without chocking. After that she rushed upstairs and finished her homework. When she finished she changed and went straight to bed.
When the clock turned 12 o’ clock Mikky woke up by the grumbling of her stomach. She went downstairs as quietly as she could and went to the refrigerator. She pulled on the handle but it wouldn’t budge a cm. She pulled on the handle so much that before she knew it the refrigerator was tipping. “Smack!!!!!!” the refrigerator fell onMikky and squished her flat. Mikky was waiting for pain but luckily she didn’t. Mikky’s parents heard the loud noise and rushed downstairs. “My gosh! Honey are you ok?” Mikky’s dad asked. Mikky answered, “Amazingly, yes I am!” Her parents lifted the refrigerator and looked at Mikky in amazement. Mikky stood up and said, “Wow I’m flat as a piece of paper!” When she stood side ways you could barely see her. She went back to bed and fell asleep. She tried telling herself that is was just a dream but she knew it was because when she pinched herself she felt it. She shut her eyes as hard as she could and tried to go to sleep.
The next morning Mikky’s parents’ called the school and said, “Mikky won’t be coming to school for a few days or even weeks because she has a really rare but serious virus in her body.” “Ok thank for letting us know. We will be mailing her homework and hopefully she gets better soon.” the school secretary said. “Thank you and goodbye.”Mikky’s mom said. Mikky went down to eat breakfast. When she sat down her brother was looking at her as if he saw a ghost. “Boo!” Mikky yelled to her brother. “Ahhhhh!” her brother screamed. He ran out the door with his backpack and went to school. Mikky fill her spoon with some cereal and milk and when she did, the cereal spilled all over her. Mikky was really hungry. So she just open her mouth and put her cereal in, one by one. Mikky wanted to cry but she didn’t because she wanted to look forward into what she could do now that she’s flat.
After Mikky ate her breakfast she walked tp her backyard with her brother. They wanted to play a game of basketball but she could really dribble the ball becuase the ball bended her hand a lot. so her brother let her taravel with the ball. Mikky wasn’t having much fun so she just went inside the house. “RING! RING!” the phone rang. Mikky ran to the phone and greeted, “Hello, this is Mikky speaking.” “Oh hi Mikky! This is Jessica your couzin here in New York. Well it’s going to be my birthday soon and I was wondering if you could come over and spend a few days?” Angela answered. “Really? I’ll ask my parents at dinner and I’ll call you back later but I’ve changed a little.”Mikky replied. “Alright call me back later! Bye!” Angela hung up the phone. Mikky went to the dining table and waited for dinner.
After a few minutes dinner was served by Mikky’s mom, mash potatoes and gravy. Everyone ate with spoons and forks but Mikky had to eat wirh a thin straw so the potatoes wont drip out of her flat mouth. “Umm, mom? Can I go to Angela’s in New York?” Mikky asked. “Sure why not. So what’s your plan?” Mikky’s mom replied. “Well I was thinking that since I’m suppose to be in the hospital becuase that’s what you told the school, I was thinking you could mail me to her? It would be a lot cheaper than going on a plane.” Mikky protested. “I guess that, that could work out. And you can go to Angela’s, but only for a week! I better call her mom and tell her about the incidence. After dinnerMikky went upstairs and went to bed.
When Mikky woke up she was in a tropical island. It was like paradise. There were coconuts, pineapples and parrots. It was beautiful. The alarm clock went off. Mikky woke up and found out that she was just in a dream. She went downstairs to call Angela. She told her that she could go and she would get there this Saturday. WhenMikky got downstairs she saw her dad making a huge green envelope that she was suppose to fit in. Mikky smiled. After watching her dad make a huge envelope she went to the kitchen and grabbed pop tarts which she squished into littlecrums. Mikky was suprised she actually liked pop tarts squished into crums. After Mikky ate she made a little card for Angela that she wanted to give to her with a friendship bracelet. Mikky’s day ended like always, dinner then straight to bed.
On the next day Mikky woke up a lot later than usual because she was excited about going to New York tomorrow. Mikky packed her clothes and thing’s she waned to show Angela too. After Mkiky was done packing she went downstars where she her dad mopping a huge stamp to the envelope. Then Mikky’s dad painted Angela’s adress on the envelope. Mikky went in the envelope to see if she could fit in and the envelope was just right size for her. Mikky spent the rest of the day talking to Angela on the phone. After several hours Mikky got hungry and grabbed a snack. And do you know what it was? Crushed pop tarts! Her favorite. Mikky wanted to wake up early so she slept early too.
When Mkky woke up, her whole famly was already awake and her pop tarts were already on the table. She ate half of it and then saved half of it for the trip. She got all her belongings andpakced it in the envelope. She got in the car with her mom and the envelope and went to the post office. When they got there she went in the envelope and the lady wieghed the envelope before she gave it to the UPS center. While Mikky was waiting she took a little nao which then turned into a deep sleep. While she was sleeping men carried hundreds maybe even thousands of envelopes in the plane where the envelopes were going to be taken into the New York City post office.Mikky was waken up by a sudden bumb . She poked a little hole through envelope to see what was going on. She saw piles of envelopes. She still had to wait until morning when her friend would pick her up.Mikky was bored the whole time and all she did was eat and sleep. She couldn’t wait to get out of this envelope and use the bathroom. She tried not to wet her pants and she did fairly well. BeforeMikky knew it, it was already morning and Angela was waiting in line to pick her up. Then the lady picked the envelope up and gave to Angela. Angela’s mom helped tocary the envelope. Then Mikky ripped the envelope and jumped out. She didn’t even care about her pop tarts she just wanted to get out of that envelope and use the bathroom. After she finally took a long dump she with her friend in the car. Angela lived in a tall building. WhenMikky walked in she thought she was in a hotel but she was just in an ordinary family apartment. For the rest of the day, Angela showedMikky around the apartments. When the night ended she went to sleep in Angela’s room, on the floor with a sleeping bag. Mikky was falling in love with New York already.
When Mikky woke up it was about 9:00 a.m. As always Mikky was eating pop tarts. The way that Mikky was flat not a lot of people cared. They just had to look at her more than once, but Angela didn’t care because Mikky didn’t really change she just lost (a lot) some weight. After they ate breakfst they changed there clothes because they wanted to explore New York on there own. After they changed there clothes they went outside the apartment. AlreadyMikky was interested in New York because in every staircase the went through they saw tons of gum! Pink gum, blue gum, hairy gum, hardend gum and that’s just the beginning. After looking at thousands of gum they went through some stores near by and bought some stuff. After that they were exhausted and they wanted to go home. When they got home they went straight to the couch. “ 3 more days until my birthday! I can’t wait!” Angela yelled. ”Me either!”Mikky replied. They talked and ate dinner. After that they were exhausted and went right to sleep. When they woke up the next day, Angela asked her parents if they could go to the store and buy things for the party. They bought hats, balloons, party favors, and silly strings. “One more day until my birthday,” Angela chanted. They fixed all the things for her party and then they ate dinner and went straight to bed. They went to bed early to wake up extra early. They dreamed of how the party would be and how much fun they were going to have. When they woke up they took there showers, brushed their teeth, and got dressed for the party. Angela’s cake washumongous. Pretty soon kids that Mikky didn’t know started coming for the party, before she knew it…..
